Jaeger leCoultre Atmos clock, made for the 150th anniversary

Jaeger-leCoultre-Atmos-150

This design of Atmos clock was made to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Jaeger LeCoultre in a limited edition of 3000 examples in 1983.

The clock is in exceptional condition, and is accompanied by the original wood presentation box and instruction manual, and original certificate.

Jaeger leCoultre’s jeweled Swiss calibre 540 movement is perpetually wound by changes in the air pressure, never requiring manual winding.

The gilt brass frame and base is part brushed, part polished. The clock dial and movement are supported on two bronzed brushed steel pillars, framing the torsion pendulum which oscillates slowly. All are protected by a glass dome, still retaining its original manufacturer’s sticker.

The circular base has two applied plaques, one engraved with the limited edition number 0503, the other a ‘150’ within a laurel wreath.

The base is raised on three adjustable feet for leveling, a spirit bubble to guide.

White dial with black Roman numerals and black Breguet-style hands.

  • Height: 13 inches (33 cms)
  • Diameter of the base: 21.5 cms

To be overhauled and guaranteed for 3 years.
