Two captive strips of silk between two brass cheeks. Lead strip on inside of one cheek top and bottom. These are the best suspension units that can be purchased anywhere. They are superb.

The suspensions are the most common item on a Bulle clock to need replacing. After all they have probably supported the weight of the swinging pendulum for the last 60 or so years (about 4 billion oscillations). Even though they may seem to be simply constructed they are in fact made up of 12 individual parts. The one that is normally missing on other replacement suspensions is the lead strip inside one of the brass cheeks top and bottom. This stops the silk from being pulled out.
