Small Regency Bracket clock Timepiece

Fusee bracket clock

An attractive small English Regency bracket clock timepiece, which stands only 12 inches high. It is nice to find small bracket clock dating from the early 1800s in such good original condition.

The case design has a mild Egyptian influence, the inlaid brasswork appearing to form tapered pillars. The case is generally exceptional, the mahogany veneers with attractive figuring and the brass inlay with no signs of lifting. Contrasting friezes of dentil ebonised wood add further interest. The lockable rear door is glazed.

5″ convex painted Roman dial in good original order. The cast brass bezel is locked by key, and is fitted with the original domed glass.

Its eight day fusee movement has an anchor escapement and arch shaped plates. The pendulum has a locking screw for transportation.
