Early 19th Century Inlaid Mahogany Stick Barometer

This highly attractive stick barometer has a mahogany case decorated with inlaid Sheraton-style marquetry to the cistern cover and the curved top pediment, with scroll ears to the sides.

The silvered dial sits behind a hinged glazed door. It is well engraved with a single guage with a sliding vernier. To the left of the barometer tube is a mercury thermometer, graded in degrees Fahrenheit.
