Rosewood striking Wall Clock Regulator

Rosewood-wall-clock-regulator

A fine and interesting mid 19th century wall clock regulator, in an elegant brass inlaid rosewood case with well-figured veneers. The brass framed rectangular door is locked by key. The rectangular lines of the case front are also inlaid with brass. It has a shallow break-arch pediment, and a sweeping ogee base. The entire back is also opening, secured by wooden latch. This allows access to the movement. The backboard itself is a faux rosewood effect.

The two-piece white enamel enamel dial  has a visible escapement with jewelled pallets to the centre.

The 8 day movement has an outside count wheel strike mechanism, striking the hours on a coiled gong. It is signed PERT BALLY A PARIS.

High quality temperature compensating tri-rod pendulum of steel and brass.

The movement is to be overhauled and guaranteed for 3 years.
