Antique Silvered Four Glass Mantel Clock

Silver-plated French four glass clock by Roblin of Paris, dated c.1900.

The four glass case is of small proportions. It has been newly silver-plated and lacquered and has bevelled glasses to all four sides, all in pristine condition.

The 8-day movement strikes the hours and the half hours on a bell. The movement is stamped Roblin & Fils, Freres a Paris to the back plate in an oval.

The two piece enamel dial remain perfect, with Roman numerals and with the centre of the dial showing the escapement. Blued steel Breguet-style hands.

The compensating pendulum comprises two sealed vials filled with mercury.
