This clock, with its highly precise movement, whose sole function is to accurately measure time, achieves a rate deviation of only one to two seconds per month. In order to achieve this demanding task, the 30-day movement is uncompromisingly designed and executed. The gold-plated gear wheels turn with arbors made of special Swedish steel in five ball bearings and eleven jewel bearings on two base plates crafted in four-millimeter-strong hard brass, increasing the movement's effectiveness and longevity. The bearing jewels are crafted in extremely hard synthetic ruby and embedded in diamond-turned chatons screw-mounted to the base plate with three polished stainless steel screws. The plates are finely finished and decorated with shiny nickel plating providing especially beautiful contrast to the gold-plated gear wheels. The Graham escapement with its jewel pallets guarantees constant transmission of energy to the pendulum. The movement has a power maintaining mechanism, to drive the pendulum when the clock is being wound.

The skeletonized subdial for seconds and the movement's open front plate enable a view of the gold-plated gear wheels and the Graham escapement with its agate pallets. An especially loving detail is the domed and polished starshaped gear wheel bridge crafted in stainless steel that is secured with polished, blued screws. Another difference between this and model 1985 is the sophisticated ball bearing rope pulley for the winding weight.

The fine hands are domed, polished, and blued with precise hand-craftsmanship.

On this clock, a glass pane on top also allows light to enter the case and illuminate the movement from above.
Accessory parts are stored in the bottom of the case.
