Alongside the especially quiet ticking, it is the elegantly small pendulum swing and the extremely thin walnut case that are the outstanding traits of this Sattler Classica S 130 clock.
Erwin Sattler has succeeded in resurrecting a classic movement design and the outstanding quality associated with the tradition of classic Vienna movements. Very unique, flat movements with thick base plates as well as noticeably small weights were typical for these precious regulators, both then and now. Thanks to an extremely high effectiveness of the gear train, it is nonetheless possible to supply the movement with enough energy for a whole month. As a whole, the features of this movement lends the clock an accuracy that could not have been achieved one hundred years ago. The result is clearly higher torque as well as components that work almost without wear. The use of hard brass as well as hardened pivots and steel parts also contribute to securing the longevity of Sattler Caliber 1625-4 for generations.
The 30 day duration 14-jewelled movement has deadbeat escapement with steel pallets, and incorporates fourteen jewel bearings and eight precision miniature ball bearings. It strikes the hours and the passing of the half hour. The ramin wood pendulum swings at 60 beats per hour.
A discreet drawer is located in the borrom of the case where you can find the winding key.
