A delightful small drop dial timepiece by Hortstmann of Bath, dating from around the 1920s.
The soft-brown oak case is just 9" high, with the dial surround 7" in diameter. The trunk has a brass-edged pendulum window.
The 8 day movement is accessed by removing the back panel of the clock, and is stamped with Newbridge Works, Bath, the works opened by Horstmann & Son in 1915 to house production.
The cast brass bezel has a silvered sight ring to the silvered dial, the Arabic numerals engraved on a raised ring.
Original matching steel hands.
