A finely proportioned mahogany drop-dial timepiece, dating from the second quarter of the 19th century.

The repainted 12" convex dial has a polished cast brass bezel and turned narrow mahogany surround, over a glazed drop box with carved ears and brass inlay, with side and base doors.

Delicate moon hands.

The eight day fusee movement has rectangular plates, anchor escapement and a long brass-bobbed pendulum.
