Reproduction Ships Clocks

Ships Clocks were good quality wall clocks with 8-day duration movements with jeweled lever platform escapements, housed in solid brass or cast bronze cases with screw-on bezels, designed to withstand the corrosive sea elements. Most are timepieces, but many are equipped with striking trains which strike the ship’s bells sequence, namely one at 12.30, two at 1.00, etc, striking eight bells at 12, 4, and 8 o’clock.

Today’s reproduction marine clocks are usually with quartz movements. We stock a good range of ships clocks, with matching barometers, tidal clocks, and hygrometers. Mounted as pairs or in threes on a wooden back-board, possibly with an engraved plaque, these make fine presentation clocks. Do contact us to advise the pricing on any combination you wish.
