A French four glass eight day gong striking mantel clock, c.1910.
The eight day unsigned drum movement has a cylinder platform escapement, and strikes the hours and half hours on a coiled gong.
The polished brass case is lacquered, and fitted with bevelled glass to teh two doors and sides.
The top is mounted with an Anglaise-style carrying handle, and set with a circular Fahrenheit mercury thermometer and compass.
White porcelain dial, painted with Arabic numerals, and with a regulation slot above the 12.
Matching steel lance hands.
Complete with original leather carrying case.
