A painted dial eight-day longcase clock in an oak case, dated c.1830-40.
The rich oak case has restrained detailing - a hood with swan neck pediment, with three giltwood finials, dentil corrnicing areound the arch, and freestanding pilars. The long runk door is falnked with fluted quarter pillasters with brass capitals and bases. The base has a moulded centre section, and shaped apron.
The 12" original painted dial has a convex centre section surounded with simple floral paintings to the corners, and a rustic scene in the arch. It has subsiary seconds indication and original hands.
