A rare Black Forest three train quail and double cuckoo wall clock, in excellent original condition.
The 30 hour movement sounds the quail on the quarters and the cuckoo on the hour.
The chalet case is carved with leaves and surmounted by a bird in flight, with carved leaf pendulum.
5" dial with bone numerals and ivory hands.
The quail and cuckoo clocks are considered to be unusual collectors' pieces. They date from just before the 1860s, and were made in the Furtwangen area of Germany.
The case is 24" high.
